Many of us tend to believe our thoughts and assumptions,
because we’ve lived with them for a very long time.
I work along the lines of Cognitive Therapy, believing that our moods and behaviors originate in the way we think. We tend to react to our thoughts by feeling a certain way and behaving accordingly.
The tools you will be offered in treatment with me will help you to seriously change the way you think and to properly evaluate your own behaviors and those of others around you.
The ultimate goal is to help you become your OWN THERAPIST.
I will guide you through the process of changing your thinking, and in turn, you will improve your life. You will learn to filter out negative thinking, develop an alternate (positive) outlook on life, and allow a new way of thinking to settle in.
These principles are relevant in all relational issues, between couples, socially and in the work environment, as well as in dealing with issues of self esteem and shyness, guilt, depression, and addiction, to name a few.
In a warm and friendly environment, with an experienced, empathetic and ethical therapist, you will be able to feel trusting and accepted non-judgmentally.
